No Ax to Grind

LarrWayne Po

Will some compare miracles,
To circus acts,
Pretending to look forward,
While they smile looking back?
Monkeys can laugh too
They did it before you.
Their thoughts were sincere,
But ours, are they true?

Loving pets usually give it their best.
Can it be said for me and you?
They get free room and board,
And they can't be sued.
They can relax.
There's no guilt on their mind.
Tomorrow's just another day
With no ax to grind.

If their attorney overcharges,
Well that's fine too.
Just send the bill
In care of the zoo.

LarrWayne, AKA Quack Jack of many trades. If the educated do not educate others, the long term pay back will be "We are surrounded by the uneducated and they want to rule over us". Politically incorrect poem...  View profile

Hah, clever; especially the ending... but the crux is in your truisms!
