Peanut Butter and Honey No Bake Cookie Recipe

This recipe for no-bake cookies is a creative and fun way to make cookies. They are a hit with any age, and do well at bake sales. The end product will look like a little swarm of bees, and honey is a fitting ingredient!

Ingredients

1 Cup Peanut Butter

3 Tbs Honey

2/3 Cup Non-fat Dry Milk

4 Tbs Sesame Seeds

5 Tbs Crushed Cheerios

Unsweetened Cocoa

Sliced Almonds

Directions

  1. Mix peanut butter and honey together in a large bowl
  2. Stir in dry milk, sesame seeds, and crushed cheerios (different cereals can be used for different results)
  3. Mix well.
  4. Mold 1 Tsp of dough, place on tray or wax paper
  5. Repeat until all dough is used.
  6. Dip a toothpick or small paint brush into cocoa powder and gently spread across the tops of the bee's bodies to make stripes.
  7. Place sliced almonds into the sides for wings.
  8. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes.

This recipe makes 25 bees. Double the recipe to make 50. For variation, chopped nuts can be added. For a fun way to display these cookies for a party, scatter honeycombs around them and other honeybee themed items.

For someone with less time on their hands, maybe these no bake cookies would be easier.

3-Minute No Bake Cookies

Ingredients

2 Cups Granulated Sugar

1 Stick(8 Tbs) Margarine or Butter

½ Cup Low-Fat Milk

1/3 Cup Baking Cocoa

3 Cups Uncooked Quaker Oats (Quick)

Directions

  1. In large saucepan, combine sugar, margarine, milk and cocoa.
  2. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. Continue boiling 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
  3. Remove from heat. Stir in oats.
  4. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper.
  5. Let stand until firm. Store tightly covered.
