No Class West Stuns VMA Viewers and Taylor Swift

Just who does Kanye West think he is? His behavior at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards was absolutely appalling. Newspapers, blogs and television news have all been abuzz with his outrageous behavior. If there is anyone who didn't see the VMA Awards or hasn't already heard what took place here's what happened.

Nineteen year old Taylor Swift had just won the Best Female Video Award. She had barely gotten started with her acceptance speech when Kanye West walked on stage and took the mic from Taylor proclaiming that Beyonce had the best video of all time. Poor Taylor was dumbfound and no doubt embarrassed while Beyonce looked none too pleased either. His outburst was not appreciated by the audience and once he left the stage Taylor received applause and a standing ovation.

Not only did he embarrass himself and Taylor Swift during a night that meant a great deal to her (it was her first award outside the Country Musicgenre), he embarrassed Beyonce as well. Props to Beyonce (website noted below) when later that evening after receiving her Moonman trophy she showed real class by inviting Taylor Swift back out to give the speech that the classless West had ruined.

While I not a fan of rap music I do enjoy watching the awards to see other artist that I do enjoy, such a Janet Jackson. There just isn't much one can say about this type of behavior. Apparently Kanye was never taught any manners nor does he understand etiquette. This is not his first outburst at an award show. He's a brat and a spoiler who doesn't know how to control himself. His head has gotten too big for his body; his choice didn't win so he had to spoil it for Taylor. Producers might want to think about banning him from future award shows, if he wins an award mail it to him.
