Snack bags are a fun item to include in the sale. Start with the bag of your snack bag, which is a brown paper lunch sack. Have the younger people involved in your sale decorate the bags with your theme. If you are helping to raise money for a class trip, decorate the bag with pictures of where everyone is going, raising money for a church then include biblical sayings or pictures of the cross.
Now that the bags are decorated it is time to fill these bags with a snack on the go. This can include a small muffin, fruit cup and juice box. The muffins can be baked at home and then put in a small sandwich bag. Fruit cups and juices bought in bulk will keep your prices reasonable. Don't forget a spoon and napkin. Pack up each bag and have them ready for a grab and buy sale. These are great for people to purchase for a quick breakfast, healthy snack or something to give the kids as they run errands in the afternoon.
Ice cream cone cupcakes are another popular item to sell. The cupcake is baked right in the cone. These are easy to transport to the sale and even easier for customers to eat. Decorate these with sprinkles, frosting and even little candies. If you are creative you can make faces on each cupcake. Parents love these for little ones as they include a way for kids to hold the cupcake and eat it too.
For your customers who want to participate but yet stay on the healthy side. Offer a basket of fresh fruit and granola bars for purchase. These are not your tradition bake sale items, yet it will allow even people who normally skip the sale to find something to eat. A diabetic will be thrilled to see they can purchase something to help out your cause and not endanger their health.
Coffee, bottled water and juices should also be available for purchase. After all you want your customers to have something to wash down those yummy treats they just bought with. Purchasing these items at a warehouse club will keep the selling price low.
Bake sales no longer have to be the same old boring cookies and brownies. Provide new and exciting treats and you will have more customers than you have baked goods. Offering healthy snacks will bring in customers that would normally bypass your table. Don't forget to sell some type of beverage so money can be made on those who only want to quench their thirst. Make your next bake sale one of your best using these fun ideas.
