No Residents of Birmingham's 48012 Zip Code on Michigan's Sex Offender's Registry
Neighborhood: Birmingham
Birmingham, MI 48012
United States of America
Resident's of Birmingham's 48012 zip code fall into a rare category in Michigan in that they live in a zip code area that does not have any registered sex offenders. A search of the Michigan Sex Offender's Registry will turn up this rare occurrence if you search for the 48012 zip code. Granted, this search may have changed from the date in which I searched it (November 10th, 2010).

The fact that there are no residents of Birmingham's 48012 zip code on the Michigan Sex Offender's Registry is fairly rare. I searched for the other zip codes in Southeast Michigan, and could only come up with five that did not have any residents on the Michigan Sex Offender's Registry.

Remember, though, just because there are not any registered sex offenders in the 48012 zip code of Birmingham, it does not mean that there never will be. Remember to check the Michigan Sex Offender's Registry from time to time so that you know what potential dangers are out there.

The premise for such an approach is not a correct one. In fact, approximately 90% of new convictions for sex offenses involve an individual who had no prior sex offense conviction history." New York places that number at "more than 95%". Being alert to sex offenders addresses a very small part of the danger to your children, being alert to your children addresses all of it. To the next question - Yes! They're your children, your responsibility, you have to make the arrangements to keep them supervised and safe. If
