Take the scarf and simply drape it over a curtain rod to make a valance for the window. Look for a curtain rod that is decorative since it may show on the ends.

Take some satin or lace ribbon and tie the window treatment together in the middle of the window, right above the window sill. Be sure to tie the ribbon in a pretty bow to finish the window treatment off.

For this really easy no sew window treatment you will need a patterned tablecloth. You can change this window treatment to fit the different seasons. For summer time you may want a nice light and flowery pattern and during the holiday season you can put up a Christmas patterned tablecloth. Simply take the patterned tablecloth and fold it in half diagonally. Use drapery tacks to pin the tablecloth to the frame of the window. You can find decorative drapery tacks at most home improvement stores and home furnishing stores. Let the corners of the tablecloth hang loose at each end of the window. This makes a creative window valance that you can change whenever you like and is still inexpensive.
