Noah's Ark Craft
Make an ark out of a paper plate and a printed image. You will also need glue, scissors markers and brown paint.
Story
God looked down on the earth and saw how wicked man had become. He decided to wipe all mankind from the face of the earth. One man found favor in God's eyes. It was Noah. God gave him special instructs on how to build an ark, and told him to prepare for a great flood that would destroy everything living thing on the earth.
God told Noah to gather two of every living creature, male and female, and bring them to the ark, along with food for them and his family. Noah did everything God told him to do.
When the ark was finished, Noah's family entered the ark, and it began to rain. It rained for forty days and forty nights. The rain filled the earth, and every living creature was wiped away. When the waters finally receded, the ark came to rest on the top of Mount Ararat. Noah's family stayed on the ark for almost eights months more, until the earth had dried out enough to walk on.
Finally, one year after Noah boarded the ark with his family and the animals, God invited him to come out of the ark. Noah built an altar, and began to worship the Lord. God was happy with Noah's offerings, and said that he would never flood the earth again.
He said, "I establish My covenant with you; and all flesh shall never again be cut off by the water of the flood, neither shall there again be a flood to destroy the earth." Genesis 9:11
As a sign of this promise God put a rainbow in the clouds.
