Ingredients

Serves 1
2 cups Granulated white sugar
1/2 cup Salted butter
1/2 cup Milk
4 tablespoons Dark cocoa powder
1/2 cup Peanut butter
2 teaspoons Pure vanilla extract
3 cups Quick oats

Directions for No-Bake Chocolate Cookie Recipe

1
MIx first 4 ingredients
Bring the first 4 ingredients; sugar, butter, milk and cocoa powder to a rolling boil in a dutch oven or large 4-quart saucepan. Stir constantly.
2
Remove from heat source
Remove the pan from the burner.
3
Add the peanut butter
In the same pan, stir in the peanut butter and add the vanilla extract until smooth and completely blended.
4
Add oats
Stir in oats until well blended.
5
Drop onto wax paper
Scoop up the mixture with a tablespoon. Drop onto a cool wax paper surface. Allow to cool completely.
Tip
Place the cookies in the refrigerator for two hours or until completely cool. Move them to a cold oven and allow to dry out overnight. Air-drying the cookies will leave them with a crispy outside and a soft center and prevents them from getting a gooey or sticky texture. Store for up to 7 to 10 days in an airtight container at room temperature. Yields 1 to 2 dozen cookies.
