Nobody's Children

x
He lives down by the railroad tracks, a lean-to is his home.
Just another alley cat, the river banks he roams.
He's got no money, got no future, it's a crying shame.
A free spirit bound by dirty lies, it's all the same.

Maybe someday, he'll win just once...

But until then, he's just another one of Nobody's Children
Try another way from yesterday for a better way tomorrow!

She's young and smart and beautiful, but wishes she was dead.
She dances in the alley to the music in her head.
She's got no family, got no reason to carry on and live.
Just another empty mine with no gold left to give.

Maybe someday, she'll win just once...

But until then, she's just another one of Nobody's Children
Just because today sucked every way doesn't mean there's no tomorrow!

He's getting drunk under the bridge
She cries alone; two frustrated kids.
Could they hook up? It's to hard to say.
They're only livin' just a few yards away.

Their friends are so damn frustrated, each other's all they have.
Scheming to get off the streets and having the last laugh.
They got nothin' left to be scared of, nothing left to lose.
They're only kids, and already paid a lifetime of dues.

Maybe someday, they'll win just once...
But untiil then, they're just another gang of Nobody's Children
Fighting every day to find a way for a better life tomorrow!
