I think I cannot,
In the cacophony of vehicles,
In the constant honking of horns,
In the blaring of loud and ear
piercing music,
In the howling of street dogs,
In the meow-meow of cats,
In the loud shouts of fighting
Neighbors,
In the intermittent shrill
noise of kitchen appliances,
In the fighting of kids,
I find my own voice
lost somewhere
I feel my own voice
making a feeble and failed
attempt to come out,
In so many noises,
I cannot hear
my own voice.

Post a CommentI could really relate with this one! I am back in the US now and it's almost eerily quiet.
Well written!
Yes,i agree, hope yur problem will be addressed by CM.Thanks Deepak
among all this it's good that still one is trying to find his lost voice.Powerful!
I though this problem was only in our city!!!!!
I can hear myself, but nobody else can.
I agree with you deepak, sometimes I feel I am turning deaf.....I really can't hear what I am talking.....it becomes so difficult to concentrate....It seems that it is take long for your senses to reach from your brain to you lips or to your ears....it sounds dangerous .....but what can we do..we made these curses for our comfort. so now we have to suffer....it was our choice....whom to blame.
Absolutely right! that's how I feel some days....you just want to go somewhere far from the madding crowd :)
