Nokia 2610 Cell Phone Review

The Perfect Choice for a Cheap Cell-Phone

Jack Woods
I was looking for a phone to give my daughter as a backup in case of emergencies only. So, I was looking for something simple and cheap without too many complications. I have bought the Nokia 2610 Cell Phone for this purpose, and I think that I have done a good investment. The Nokia 2610 Cell phone does not have the any of the fancy features of cameras, music or international calling.

My daughter is found of fancy things with different color combinations, and I found that the grey one with the black background looked very sleek. Also, you can remove and change the looks on the phone because all of them are removable. I am sure that if you want you can go making a very special looking phone out of the Nokia 2610 Cell Phone. It is definitely a young generation look phone. Not the kind that I would like to show around.

Another thing that you have to take into consideration with the Nokia 2610 cell phone, and that is why I definitely recommend it for the younger generation, is the keys on the pad. They are definitely built for small hands and thin fingers. Even though I do not have very big hands, I still find it difficult to handle them.
Although you may seem to have some features which allow some kind of connectivity, and downloading capacity, I have found that the hardware on the Nokia 2610 cell phone does not actually respond to what it says it may be able to handle. You have to try different versions of software to see if that is possible, but I have had some problems even with some of the Nokia software that is supposed to work with the Nokia 2610 cell phone.

The standby time of the Nokia 2610 cell phone is very good. It has a capacity of about 10 days, and it also has a very good reception capacity.

The Nokia 2610 cell phone does have a Web browser through GPRS, and basically what you are able to download through that is games, which in such a small phone and with such small keys, it is not very practical to play. Another thing is that you cannot run the standard DCT4 unlocking algorithms with the Nokia 2610 cell phone.

To wrap things up, I must tell you that you should go looking for a Nokia 2610 cell phone when you are interested in having an emergency backup for your existing phone. It is good for the purpose of answering the phone when needed.
