Call quality of Nokia E71 is better. Disturbances such as noise cannot be noticed. Microphone is placed just below the chin. Hence, slightest of voice level changes are easily detectable. Nokia E71 worked well with most of the mobile services network. Reception quality was more than better. You can talk for 5 hours at a stretch. This is something extraordinary with recent nokia phones. Battery life can be optimized with switching off Wi-Fi and GPS functionality. You may observe drop in battery life during synchronization with Exchange ActiveSync server. Contact list from your exchange server can be easily synchronized. It is quick and instant. You also get option of conference calling with ease.
You can easily setup your e-mail on Nokia E71.Sychronization with exchange and gmail imap account should not be a problem. One problem identified was restricted access to sub folders with exchange. But as far as email retrieval is concerned; Nokia E71 works absolutely fine. It's faster than our desktop e-mail clients
Nokia E71 does not include instant messenger on phone. With such a powerful feature set, it was disappointing to note this. Being a predominant symbian os phone, it has lots of third party application installed. Nokia E71 has numerous sms and mms options. Sending and receiving snaps and multimedia stuff was easy too. This is made possible with pre loaded option such as Flickr.
Nokia E71 is packed with business suite options. Your office related tasks can easily be done with quickoffice. Quickoffice is superb tool for editing your word, excel and power point presentations files with ease. E-mal attachments do not show any matter of concern. Although attractive in graphics, lacked the navigation aspects and features.
Nokia E71 has one of the better web browsers seen on mobile phones. Features and ease of use are much similar to apple iPhone safari browser. Web pages loads faster and quickly.
Picture quality with Nokia E71 is not satisfactory. Built in feature such as, auto-focus and flash are not so helpful.
Multimedia options on Nokia E71 are far better than its nseries models. Media player is quite good with advance play back options.
If you are planning to buy a business phone with camera and multimedia as optional features, then Nokia E71 is the right choice for you.
