T-Mobile's new service dubbed Hotspot @ Home lets consumers make and receive calls through a wireless network so long as your phone is compatible. Calls made through Wi-Fi will not be billed on your cell phone plan which translates to unlimited calls as long as you are in a hotspot. Price for the Hotspot @ Home will start at an additional $9.99 per month if you have an existing T-Mobile plan and you can also avail of their $19.99 a month for the family plan for up to 5 cell phones. You can use the service with T-Mobile Hotspots available nationwide through most Starbucks branches and some airports, and you get automatically switched to the GSM cellular network once you're out of the hotspot.
According to the Nokia Press Release, Brit Wehrman, director of product development for T-Mobile USA, said, "T-Mobile is always looking for ways to provide our customers with innovative products and services designed to make it easier to stay connected to those who matter most -- together T-Mobile HotSpot @ Home and the Nokia 6086 do just that. Combining the power of T-Mobile's nationwide network, thousands of T-Mobile HotSpot locations and great in-home coverage with T-Mobile HotSpot @ Home, the Nokia 6086 is the only phone you need for home and mobile calling."
The Nokia 6086 has the ability to use GSM and Wi-Fi networks and has other features as well, like integrated camera and video recorder, Bluetooth, micro-SD slot, MP3 music player and FM radio, as well as other mobile content. The Nokia 6086 has a fold design with a large display and easy to use keypads.
Frank Vium, vice president of sales for Nokia, said, "The Nokia 6086 phone and T-Mobile HotSpot @Home together offer great coverage, both in-home and on the road, and a powerful, yet very intuitive handset -- an unbeatable combination for customers wanting to stay connected. The nationwide availability of the Nokia 6086 phone and T-Mobile HotSpot @ Home service marks another chapter in our shared history of delivering quality and value to consumers."
