Nokia and UTStarcom: A Cell Phone Review

So you buy a lot of electronics after doing your thorough studying of what you want and what you need while cross referencing that with price, right? No? You enjoy it more to not have a clue what is available to you until you get to your prospective electronics retailer and spend a lot of money on very little? While this may work for you, maybe you should try putting a little effort into your next cell phone purchase and getting a great product.

There are a great number of features available to you depending on what it is that you want or need out of your cell phone, but the key is knowing the terms before leaving the house. Know what you are looking for and get what you need to make it through whatever life throws at you. As a friendly bit of help and assistance, here is a brief description of two cell phone giants, Nokia and UTStarcom.

Nokia has been a front line name in cell phones since day one by having that initial market of the people that get the free phone instead of investing in a better model. Now, Nokia is trying to turn the corner into becoming one of the more cutting edge manufacturers with a new idea called Visual FM Radio.

This is actually a pretty cool idea giving the user the opportunity to view interactive information about the music they are hearing. From purchasing tickets to viewing what is going to be playing next to participating in interactive polls or games, this will change the way you listen to radio.

Nokia also sports the Nokia N95 Multimedia Computer that allows for GPS to be accessed by the user with the user also being able to view video or other media. This phone also can hold up to 1,500 songs in the same type of process as your digital music player at home.

UTStarcom is mainly a service provider that makes a few phones like the COM8945 that has a 330K Pixel camera with mobile web access and notepad. A better option for cell phone users is the PPC6700 with a 1.3 mega-pixel camera in addition to a touch screen and windows mobile to help you navigate internet or music files.

Nokia is a frontrunner in the cell phone game as their name has been around and will continue to be around for a while. UTStarcom, on the other hand, may not be a familiar name but they will undoubtedly present a worthwhile product.
