So if you don't want your children eating a lot of candy, what can you put in their Easter Baskets? If you don't want your children feeling left out, the following is a list of ideas for parents of toddlers, or school aged children who's parents would prefer that they don't have candy in their Easter Baskets.
Toddler Easter Basket Ideas:
Weebles. Weebles wobble, but they don't fall down. They are also pretty cheap and do not rot your kid's teeth! From Playskool, Weebles are a great addition to any youngster's easter basket.
Bubbles. Who doesn't love bubbles? Depending on the age of your toddler, this is a great, and CHEAP idea for an Easter Basket gift. A container of Bubbles and a Bubble wand are classic play outside fun.
Bubble Bath and a new Rubber Ducky. If your toddler loves baths, another inexpensive gift idea could be a bottle of Character bubble bath(Dora, or Scooby Doo, or something like that.) and a new Rubber Duck.
Character Stuffed Beanie. There are quite a few Dora, Blues Clues and Backyardigan Beanie Babies. If your child loves any of those shows, they would love one of these little stuffed toys.
DVD/CD. Perhaps your toddler has a favorite show that you wouldn't mind buying the DVD to, (Keep in mind you may end up watching it over and over again.)or maybe a CD soundtrack to one of their favorite shows.
School Aged Kids Easter Basket Ideas:
Easy Reader Books. If your child is just learning to read, perhaps a few I Can Read books like Frog And Toad ( Or any of the other popular titles.) would be a great little gift Idea.
Sidewalk Chalk. Spring time is a great time to put on that light jacket and pull out some big chalk and make some sidewalk art.
Art Supplies. Crayola Crayons, Crayola Markers, Doodle Pad, Coloring books. These are all great and creative ideas that are also fairly inexpensive
Disposable Camera. Give them their own camera to take when they play with their friends. They will love making memories they can look back on later.
Playing cards. Children will love their own set of playing cards to play go fish or old maid.
