Non Christians Chance in Heaven

Christina Armani
In order to believe or disbelieve a non Christian's chance in Heaven, you have to believe in the concept of Heaven. You also have to believe that Heaven is a physical place and not just a state of being. If you believe that non Christians aren't going to Heaven, you believe that they're going to Hell. If you don't believe in Christianity or Heaven and Hell, this subject is a mute point.

The Bible clearly states that only Christians can get into Heaven. You can only get into Heaven by having a relationship with God and obeying his will. If you don't follow Gods commandments, you won't get into Heaven. Of coarse, the Bible does leave room for some interpretation.

The definition of a "Christian" is open to personal analysis, but no one will get into Heaven just because they call themselves "Christian." A Christian is defined by actions and words, not by labels or associations. God has to consider you a Christian in order for you to qualify as a true Christian.

Here is the hard part of gaining a place in Heaven. To get into Heaven, you have to spread the message of the Bible and share the Christian doctrine with others. Do you have to be a Christian to believe in the Bible? Would you teach others about things that you don't believe in? Most logically, the answer to these questions are no.

Only God knows who will get into Heaven and who won't. People can't tell others that they'll go to Hell. Only God has the right to tell a person that they're going to hell. According to Calvinism, you can get into Heaven by doing good deeds and works. According to the theory of predestination, you do not have to do anything in order to get to heaven since it has already been determined. You don't need to be a "Christian" to be saved or accept Jesus as your savior.

God tells us that you can't get into Heaven if you're not forgiven for your sins. Do you need to be a "Christian" to receive forgiveness from God? Do you have to be a "Christian" to repent? The answer to these questions is debatable, but the traditional Orthodox view says yes. Do you have to be a "Christian" to do more than pay lip service to God? No, you do not. I believe that non-Christians have a chance in Heaven, but that's just one Christian's opinion.
