Non-Member Runescape Noob's Guide to Sucess

If you are reading this you are new to runescape and looking for a quick easy start to get you on your way; look no further, I'm going to give you the push you need to get started.

Directly after this tutorial go to the Barbarian Village (use the world map to find your way). Once in Barbarian Village climb down the ladder in the center surrounded by ores, this dungeon is called The Stronghold Of Player Security. (To go throught this dungeon make sure you have already set recovery questions on your acount). Even at level 3 ( or what ever you are) you should be able to wander your way through this dungeon. Bring some food along because the monsters are hostile, but you should be able to avoid, and run from most damage. After you have made your way to the end of the dungeon, you will have accumulater 10k and picked your choice of Fancy or Fighting boots. Place the gold in your bank and equipt your boots.

Now climb back to the top of the ladder and go north towards edgeville. Go into the building inbetween Edgeville and Barbarian Village. Pass the test given by the only guy standing. Pass the test using trial and error, correcting you mistakes each try. After turning in the test you will recieve 2 experience lamps, put these in combat skills (like attack, defence, strength). Next go down into the basement, look at each of the gublinch cells then speak to the guard, he'll say somthing unimportant, then just precede down into the Stronghold of Player Saftey by climbing down the hole (behind a poster) in the only open gublinch cell. There arent any hostile monsters down here so its pretty much a walk in the park, simply dont attack anything. To make your way to the prize at the end of this dungeon follow these instructions. 1 - as soon as you enter go down the first set of stairs you see. 2 - once on the bottom go up the stairs to the east. 3 - Continue towards the north-east corner. 4 - In the north-east corner there is a door that is magicaly locked, to open the door you must pull a lever. 5 - Climb to the top floor and then find a room with a rope in it, in this room is the lever. 6 - Finaly return to the magical door, and procede through, claim your reward of 10k and saftey gloves at the end. Climb out, bank the gold, and equipt your gloves.

Now that you have a decent supply of money, buy the best armour and wepons available for your level. After equipting all of your armour, return to Lumbridge and go to the feilds filled with cows. Kill cows and gather all bones and hides dropped, take these and put them in your bank. Continue gathering hides and bones from cows until you are level 20.

At level 20 go back to the barbarian village and kill barbarians and barbarian woman (dont attempt to kill Gunthar in the bar). Gather and bank all bones, coins, runes, arrows, and uncut gems. Kill barbarians until you are level 30.

At level 30 go to Varrok and buy a Brass Key from the Grand Exchange, also buy some good food for you will need it. Take your brass key and the best armour equiptable and go Edgeville dungeon located between Varrok and the Barbarian Village. Kill Hill Giants while gathering and banking big bones ( a major sorce of money) coins, runes, arrows, and uncut gems. Do this for as long as you please becasue this is where my guide ends, you should now have a decent start to runescape. Sell all of the items you have collected over your leveling and sell them to the Grand Exchange.

If you ever get bored while fighting and banking items dropped by mosters, stop and mine Rune Essence. Before being able to acess rune essence mines you must do the Rune Mysteries, it it very easy you just run messages back and forth betweem Varrok and the Wizzard Tower (by Draynor Village). Once you do the quest you can be teleported to the essence mines by a man in a building behind the eastern bank in Varrok. Mining essence is very quick and and easy way to get low levels up. Mining is always a very useful skill becasue once your mining gets higher you will be able to get a TON of profit by selling ores and bars.
