Norad Santa Tracker 2009

Norad Santa Tracker 2010 tracks Santa Claus around the world on Christmas Eve. As Santa drops off his presents, all the good little girls and boys can see where he is on the Norad Santa Tracker 2010.

The Norad Santa Tracker 2010 is proof this is a new world based on technology. When I was a child, we read "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" together then went right to sleep. If you didn't get to sleep right away, Santa might not come. As you laid anxiously in your bed, you listened for reindeer hooves on the roof. Finally you would fall asleep thinking of toys and the surprises you'd find in the morning.

Despite my childhood memories, the Norad Santa Tracker 2010 has been around for awhile. In fact, they've been tracking Santa's progress on Christmas Eve for 50 years! NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) tracks the big man in a red suit as he makes his merry rounds.

Today the Norad Santa Tracker 2010 keeps children updated about Santa's whereabouts. Based on his current location, they know whether they should head to bed before he arrives. The website states, "four high-tech systems to track Santa - radar, satellites, Santa Cams and fighter jets." You'll also find the Norad Santa Tracker 2010 on Google Earth.

The Norad Santa Tracker 2010 reminds me a little of ordering Domino's Pizza. Although the pizza leaves something to be desired (hey, I grew up on Brooklyn pizza), they deliver. When you order online, you can track the progress of your pizza order. The stats include times and names of personnel handling your order.

The Norad Santa Tracker 2010 features a cool countdown clock in various languages. They track Santa with his reindeer lead by Rudolph as soon as the happy crews leaves the North Pole.
