North Georgia College and State University is one of the most outstanding colleges in the nation. Although its name is not one that you will see as often as University of Georgia or Texas A&M, NGCSU has just as many unique and special qualities of any school for higher learning. Tucked away in the peaceful town of Dahlonega, Georgia, resting in the southern mountains of the Appalaichians, NGCSU is a strong centerpiece for North Georgia. In this review, I hope to illustrate the academic, social, and location benefits of this great school.

NGCSU is one of the few colleges and state universities left that has such an incredible teacher to student ratio. On average, a typical class will hold between 18 to 33 students. A huge problem with NGCSU is that they do not offer enough classes, and many of their departments are understaffed and poorly organized. For example if you need the first part of a subject that gets divided into two parts (e.g. Biology 101) it will only be offered in the fall, and the second part of the class will only be offered in the Spring which does not cater to the students' needs.

Article fails to mention the essential fact that North Georgia is one of six senior military colleges, and all resident males are required to participate as a military cadet.
