Northeastern U.S. LPN Schools

John Vann
Licensed Practical Nursing, referred to as LPN for short, is a career that allows nurses to work directly with patients in almost any medical setting; this includes hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, labs and even in the homes of patients. As this such an important job, anyone who is interested in the career must first undergo the proper education and training before becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse.

The very first practical nursing program in Fayette County was established in 1966. There have been over 1,000 graduates of nursing in the county since then, with the Fayette County Area Vocational Technical School leading the way. All students are required to pass every class with a grade of "C" or higher in order to successfully complete the Licensed Practical Nursing program.
