The Northlight Theatre season opening for the 2007/08 year, at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie, IL 9501 Skokie Boulevard, Presents - The Miser a Classic Costume Comedy with a Twist, Ella a Swinging Celebration of the First Lady of Song, Gee's Bend Epic, Intimate and Musical New Work, Better Late a World Premiere Romantic Comedy, The Lady with all the Answers a Heartwarming Tribute to Chicago Icon, Ann Landers. Celebrating BJ Jones' 10TH Anniversary AS Artistic Director of Northlight Theatre! In those ten years, Northlight has premiered two productions (The Last Five Years and Rounding Third) that went on to runs OFF-Broadway, and many more that found life in other regional theatres, They've brought you the finest authors, actors and directors in the country and have won great critical acclaim and numerous Jeff and After Dark Awards. They've earned a strong reputation as a generator of new and provocative work and built an ever-growing family of subscribers and ticket buyers.

This season we'll celebrate their past success by inviting some good friends-both old and new - to join us as they move toward a bright future.

John Mahoney and Mike Nussbaum will star in a new romantic comedy by Larry Gelbart (of M.A.S.H fame) and Craig Wright, Judith Ivey will come home to play Chicago icon Ann Landers, Chuck Smith WILL DIRECT A MOVING NEW EPIC PLAY, AND THEY'LL continue their tradition of exciting, electric programming by starting the season with a fresh take on a much-loved classic force, followed by a grand new musical celebrating the life of Ella Fitzgerald.

The 2007/08 season will solidify Northlight's reputation as one of the leading arts institutions in Chicago and the flagship theatre of the North Shore.
