Northwest Ohio's Henry County Fairgrounds Hosts a Variety of Activities
Town Festivals in Leipsic, Paulding, Liberty Center, Napoleon and Montpelier, Ohio
September 18 Fall Festival Napoleon Ohio
On tap at the September 18, Napoleon, Ohio, Fall Festival at the Henry County Fairgrounds in Napoleon is the following:
Car and Truck Show, sponsored by the River City Rodders Car Club (All Day, North End)
Crafts, Flea Market, Swap Meet
Food until 6 p.m.
Coin Show & Sales (South Merchants Building)
Kiddie Inflatables and Tony's Train
Kiddie Tractor Pull (South End)
Other enjoyable activities in the lineup are an Engine Blow-Up Contest at the racetrack at 12:30 p.m. and entertainers Kountry Klassic Band, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Almost Famous, 1:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
September 18 Leipsic Ohio Fall Festival
On Saturday, September 18, at Buckeye Park in Leipsic, Ohio, the (Putnam County) Leipsic Fall Festival takes place. Registration for the day's Cornhole Tournament is at 2:30 p.m., with play commencing at 3 p.m. Each two-person team must provide a $40 registration fee.
A fifty percent winner's purse will be paid out in the double elimination tournament. All proceeds will go into the festival fund.

September 18 Liberty Center Ohio Fall Festival
Liberty Center, Ohio, will hold its annual town festival on Saturday, as well. The Liberty/Washington Townships Fire Department will kick off the event with a breakfast at 7 a.m. Kiddie inflatables, a petting zoo, a hand crank train, and basket raffles will entertain the children.
In downtown Liberty Center beginning at 9 a.m. garage and bake sales, crafts shows, and food vendors will be available. The Liberty Center United Methodist Church parking lot will house a Car Show, Garden and Art Shows, and a Book Sale.
The Henry County Arts Council sponsors a Patriotic Street Chalk Art Show at 10 a.m. Chalk is provided. Also sponsored by the HCAC will be an 11 a.m. Bike Parade. Red, white, and blue streamers will be provided. Bikers may add their own decorations. Parents must supervise children aged five and under who participate.

Noon -- Cornhole Tournament, High Street
Noon -- Chicken Barbecue, Liberty Center United Methodist Church
12:30 p.m. -- Cake Walk, Huntington Bank
3 p.m. -- Hot Dog Eating Contest
4 p.m. and 5 p.m. -- Patriotic Musical Review, LC UMC (Chorus, Narrators, St. Patrick Bell Choir, Americana Display)
Paulding Flat Rock Creek Festival
The Flat Rock Creek Festival is held this weekend at the Paulding County, Ohio, Fairgrounds. The festival runs September 17 through 19.
Opening Flag Raising ceremonies, area bands, Fruit and Flea Markets, antique engines and bicycles, blacksmithing and apple butter production, and a World Championship Horse Pull are featured at the Paulding festival. The fest includes admission fees of $7 for a three-day pass, or $3 per day. Children aged 12 and under are admitted free.
The Horse Pull is scheduled for Sunday, September 19, with lightweight and heavyweight divisions. The Michigan Dynamometer Association provides its largest prize purse for the events. Top draft horses from around the world compete.
The Detroit Area Fiddlers perform from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Also scheduled are a Vintage and Classic Truck Show at 9 a.m., a nondenominational service at 10 a.m., and the Pilgrims Right to Life noodle dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
On Saturday, September 18, Antique and Farm Stock Tractor Pulls will be held at 10 a.m., with weigh-ins at 8 a.m.
The Knights of Columbus will sponsor a Chicken Barbecue from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Longaberger Basket Auction will be held at 10 a.m. A Barn Dance ends Saturday activities from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Other entertainers performing on the day include The Wesley Linenkugal Band (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and the Oakwood Community Band at 3 p.m.
On Friday, September 17, a Pancake and Sausage Breakfast sponsored by the Paulding County Firefighter's Association opens the weekend festival, while the Kiwanis Club will take over with a Fish Fry from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The Hurdy Gurdy Band will perform during the day until 6 p.m.
A 6 p.m. Division II Tractor Pull is scheduled, as well as a 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Polka and Square Dance. Happy Times Polka Band will play.
Williams County Fair in Montpelier
The annual week-long Williams County Fair concludes on Saturday, September 18 in Montpelier, Ohio.
Draft Horse Pulls (10 a.m.) and the Junior Fair Auction (9:30 a.m.) take place on Saturday, as well as Lawn Mower Pulls (1 p.m.), the Tuff-Man Competition (2 p.m.), and the Truck Pulls (3 p.m.).
Friday, September 17, a Motor Sports Display is held, with a four-division Demolition Derby concluding the day at 6 p.m. Derby admission is $8 per person for the grandstand.
Fall festivals and fairs are a way for community members and families to give back to the towns in which they live, as well as to cherish and join together in a celebration of their small town, family-oriented way of life.
