Norwich Seek Another Away Win

James Kent
On Tuesday night, Norwich beat QPR 1-0, and now they must travel to Blackpool to repeat the feat. Norwich can at least rely on some inside knowledge. Since, they have two former Blackpool players in the shape of Alan Gow and Wes Hoolahan. Both players were very popular, so can expect a good reception. Jonathan Grounds is set to play his last game for Norwich.

The big news coming out of the club this week was the decision to strip Mark Fotheringham of the captaincy. Also Norwich signed Reading striker David Mooney on a one month loan deal. As for Fotheringham it's unlikely the former captain will play for the club again. Norwich did have a loan move with Preston lined up, but that fell through. Gary Doherty will take over as club captain and Sammy Clingan will be the vice captain.

The team to play Blackpool is likely to be unchanged, but there may well be changes on the bench and it's likely Mooney will be on the bench. Jamie Cureton is set to miss out again and Luke Daley is also unlikely to be involved. Finally Cody McDonald probably needs at least one more game for the reserves before he can be included again. Therefore, he is likely to be dropped from the bench.

My Team:

Marshall

Grounds

Doherty (C)

Shackell

Otsemobor

Bertrand

Clingan

Russell

Hoolahan

Cort

Subs:

Nelson

Lappin

Carney

Mooney

Gow

Match Prediction:

I believe Norwich will get the result they need, which will be a win. I think David Mooney will grab himself a debut goal in a 2-0 victory started by a great goal from Hoolahan.
