Norwich V Barnsley

James Kent
Bryan Gunn is set to take charge of Norwich City for the one and only time. I would expect the team to be quite straightforward and simple. I would also expect the core group of players to be Norwich City owned and not loan players. I think it's safe to assume that Gunn will play for 4-4-2. Hopefully he will get a performance out of players, especially since the next Norwich city manager may well be sat in the director's box. Boothroyd is one such man, who has witnessed recent Norwich city games.

For me, the defence picks itself since, there are only two specialist centre halfs being Gary Doherty and Jonathan Grounds. Adam Drury and Jon Otsemobor should be the fullbacks and David Marshall is the goalkeeper. The midfield is where I expect some changes. I would go with Simon Lappin on the left and Lee Croft on the right. In central midfield, should be Sammy Clinghan and Darel Russell. Up front, should present an opportunity for Jamie Cureton and Arturo Lupoli.

The bench will be hard to predict, but again, there could be some surprises. However, expect the usual culprits of Mark Fotheringham, David Bell and Wes Hoolahan.

My Team:

Marshall

Drury

Grounds

Doherty

Otsemobor

Lappin

Clinghan(C)

Russell

Croft

Lupoli

Cureton

With all things considered I will go with a lucky 1-0 with Jamie Cureton, netting a 25 yard winner against the side he was on loan at only a few days ago.
