Norwich V Sheffield Wednesday Preview

James Kent
Fortunately, after another week of international football Norwich City players returned home unscathed. Therefore, it might be same again against Sheffield Wednesday. Darrel Russell remains suspended, while midfield duo Mark Fotheringham and Matty Pattison continue to be out of favour. It is likely Simon Lappin will again play in midfield.

Last time out Norwich's youngsters Adeyemi and Smith both got on the bench. And this week, at least one of them is expected to be involved again. With such a strong performance from the boys in the last game against Birmingham City it is unlikely Gunn will make changes.

The biggest decisions for the manager to make will be on either flank. Lee Croft looks set to recover from his injury, but with Alan Gow playing so well in recent games, Croft can expect to start on the bench.

David Carney, may feel in need of a rest, following a long flight due to his international commitments for Australia. But with so little options in that position he probably will have to continue. The only other option would be to play Lappin on the left, but that would mean giving a youngster his debut. Probably not a good idea, while survival remains on the agenda.

My Team:

Marshall

Bertrand Shackell Doherty Otsemobor

Carney Lappin Clingan Gow

Lee

Mooney

Subs:

Nelson (GK)

Croft

Adeyemi

McDonald

Drury

Prediction:

This will be another tough game for the Canaries, but being at home it is another opportunity to grab three points. I think the key to success on Saturday will be starting well and if possible grabbing an early goal. It should be a close one and I expect it to be decided by a single goal. My favourite scoreline would be 1-0.
