Norwich Vs. Cardiff

James Kent
Norwich to face play-off chasing Cardiff City in a game they really must win just to stay in touch at the bottom of the table. It certainly won't be an easy three points for Norwich, because Cardiff has been in good form of late so much so that they might grab automatic promotion.

For Norwich it is really important game that they must win just to stay in touch of safety. There will be at least one change because Jonathan Grounds has returned to Middlesbrough. It's likely Ryan Bertrand will revert to left back and then Bryan Gunn must decide between a 4-4-2 system and a 4-5-1 system.

David Carney and David Mooney are in contention to come into the side depending on which system Bryan Gunn uses. Also there are a section of the fans, who would welcome a return for Simon Lappin. The fact that Lappin scored in this game last season, may persuade Gunn to give him a chance, but I would favour David Carney.

He utilized 4-5-1 against both QPR and Blackpool but achieved mixed results. However, 4-5-1 has been the most successful system for Norwich this season so I would like Gunn to stick with it. The system is also the best way to use Wes Hoolahan.

My team:

Marshall

Bertrand Shackell Doherty Otsemobor

Carney Clinghan Russell Croft

Hoolahan

Cort

Subs:

Nelson (GK)

Lappin

Mooney

Gow

McDonald

Match prediction:

Another really important game and I'm hopeful this time the players will realise this and record a nervy 1-0 win. I would have thought Cort is due another goal with Carney, grabbing the assist.
