Not Another Weasley!

NOT JUST ANOTHER WEASLEY

While Harry Potter may be the world's most famous boy wizard, you can't get through a day at Hogwarts or any other part of the magical world without encountering one of the Weasleys. While there may be the most notable house of Black, the stoic Malfoys, and late-blooming Longbottoms, the Weasleys are by far Potter fans favorite wizarding family. Here is a basic guide to help you recognize this members of this redheaded clan.

Ron Weasley

From book to movies, Ronald Weasley will long be remembered as Harry Potter's first and best friend. Played by the talented Rupert Grint, the character has become near and dear to our hearts. Through the seven book and eight movie series, we experience Ron's hopes, fears and triumphs. We cringe as he struggles with playing Quidditch. We cower as he faces man-eating giant talking spiders. We cheer as he finally comes into his own as a young wizard in love. While a master of wizard's chess, Ron is also a caring brother and fiercely loyal mate!

Fred and George Weasley

The Weasleys have an unnaturally formidable set of brats in George and Fred (or is it Forge and Gred.) The fourth and fifth oldest of the Weasley brood, these twins are nothing short of trouble makers. Rule breaking is something they take pride in and as clever as they are bold. From being beaters for the Gryffindor's Quidditch Team or being the founders of Weasley's Wizard Weezes, these red headed terrors also do their part, including sacrifice, in the fight against Lord Voldemort.

Ginny Weasley

With six older brothers, its no surprise that Ginny Weasley is a tough cookie! The only Weasley daughter enters the Potter World anxious to meet Harry and ultimately becomes the future Mrs. Potter. From the victim of Tom Riddle and to the champion of the Bat--Bogey hex, beautiful Miss Weasley proves that she can hang with the big boys and turn heads in the process.

Arthur and Molly Weasley

Ma and Pa Weasley should never be counted out for a fight, laugh or some good old family values. Molly Weasley is a fiery maternal woman, who has extra room in her heart for the orphaned Harry and is one of the best cooks in the Potter world. Humble and devoted Arthur is a blood traitor and muggle lover, who teaches his clan to respect all people, magic or otherwise. From the first trip to the Hogwarts Express to the final battle for Hogwarts, Molly and Arthur prove that they should never be underestimated. Arthur is committed and unafraid of taking a stand. Molly, while focused more on her husband and children, is a valiant fighter and passionate friend.

Bill, Charlie and Percy

The oldest Weasley boys are not to be counted out. Bill, the former Hogwarts Headboy, works as a hip curse breaker for Gringotts Bank. Charlie, the former Gryffindor Quidditch Captain, studies dragons in Romania. And Percy, the pompous overachiever, dreams of being the Minister of Magic. Through sibling squabbles, we learn about each brothers hopes and foils. Through redemptive reconciliation, we understand the bond that binds the Weasleys is deeper than the Chamber of Secrets.

Whether you are enjoying the various volumes of the Harry Potter adventures or watching the Harry Potter films, you won't escape the Weasleys. From the antics of Fred and George to the posturing of Percy, there is a member of this fabulous family that you will grow to love (and at times hate!)
