Not a Fan of Kristen Stewart, but I like the Movies She is In, Sometimes ..
Is There a Reason Why I Absolutely Have to like Kristen Stewart?
When she says that people like the character in Twilight, but not her, that makes a lot of sense because she was weird in Panic Room and she still is still playing that same role. Other child actors, like Dakota Fanning, are superb, younger than Kristen Stewart, and have as much time in the game as she has. People apologize for Kristen Stewart and says that she is nervous, well Johnny Depp is nervous, but I don't see anyone complaining about him.
What ticks me off about the whole thing is that Kristen Stewart lands a lot of good roles outside of Twilight and is heralded as the next Christina Ricci, and she isn't anything close. You would think that she were Kate Hudson or something. There are a lot of good, young actors, that are a bit off, strange, eccentric and weird, just like Kristen Stewart, but that does not make them any more of a bad actor than one would you have you to think that it makes her a good actor.
Take Adventureland for instance. It wasn't the best movie, but it wasn't the worst by far. It was very entertaining and had some odd humor, sort of like Napoleon Dynamite meets the amusement park, with a taste of Superbad, type of humor. I will admit I am not a fan of Jesse Eisenberg, but even he was better than Kristen Stewart in this film. I swear I almost thought that I was watching Twilight when Kristen Stewart "acted" in this film. I don't get it, perhaps someone else sees something in Kristen Stewart that I do not, but I just do not see where she is that great of actor, even after 23 films ...

Post a CommentNobody needs a reason to like her. I respect your views and the article even though I am a fan of her. It's an article that doesn't intend to be rude, whilst saying you're not a fan of her.
"People apologize for Kristen Stewart and says that she is nervous, well Johnny Depp is nervous, but I don't see anyone complaining about him." I'm not too sure that I agree with the comparison of Johnny Depp. Most adore males in the industry. I mean if you compare Kristen to Robert, her co-star/boyfriend could do no wrong. But that's how males are perceived in the industry, as God-like creatures.
With Kristen, it isn't just her acting criticised, but her entire self. I don't think anyone apologises for Kristen being nervous, but people have defended her. People have a right to either be quiet or bubbly. She has a right to be herself, feeling a complete wreck in public situations or feeling confident. It's easy to understand after her quotes explaining who she is and how confident or uncomfortable she is with fame, that she isn't the most confident person.
But where are the apologies? Why can it not be called defending? She has every right, and you know what, there's a recent quote floating around that her fans have picked up on, where she divulges she has a strong sense of herself. She accepts herself for who she is. That's why she has a lot of haters, who don't hate her for her acting alone, but for who she is as a person, which I'm sure you'd agree is insane.
