There was a time not long ago
When all I did was think of you
The rays of sun shining on your face
And the feeling of being not one but two

But then one fateful rainy night
You did not come to my window
I waited, and I waited
And still you never showed

Why was I not enough
Did the thought of being with me
Terrify you so
That you had to run

Now I sit wonder
Was it all a dream
Did I create this fantasy
With all my wants and needs

Or was it simply too much
for you to bear
