Notes Left Behind Book: A Look into the Life of Elena Desserich

Elena Desserich, a six-year old that died from brain cancer has brightened up her parents lives with what is called "Notes Left Behind". Her parents have been finding notes everywhere where in their house where Elena has drawn and written messages such as "I Love You Mom, Dad and Gracie." The notes left behind are a comfort to her parents and they hope that they continue to find more and more as they move forward in their lives.

According to MSNBC, Elena was diagnosed with pediatric brain cancer before her sixth birthday and doctors estimated that she would live up to 155 days; however, Elena Desserich made it to 255 days. It's a tragedy to lose such an innocent life at a young age, but Elena is an inspiration for all of us to live, love and make the most of life. We never know when death is knocking on our door-so live with purpose and meaning.

According to MSNBC, Elena's parents never spoke of death and told Elena that the treatments she was taking would make her better. Personally, I couldn't imagine how her parents feel or felt going through such a horrible time. The notes left behind portray a life cut short by cancer, but Elena's compassion and feelings shown on the notes left behind can never be taken away.

A tragedy in deed of losing a young life to a disease that's taken many loved ones from this earth. There's no right questions or answers to why she had to die? People should love, live and keep moving on through this short thing we call life. God's kingdom has gained a great soul with a passion and care. For us left on earth, all we have are the notes left behind to remember a life that was short but ever so sweet.
