Nothing Came to My Mind

Can Someone Help Me Find My Mind - so I Could Write an Article Today?

Sondra C
I woke up this morning
refreshed from a good night's sleep
I went to the computer
ready to write

"Nothing Came to My Mind"

I sat awhile for an idea
to hit me
and make my fingers work
on the computer..

"Nothing Came to My Mind"

I walked into the kitchen
figured to have something to eat
a cup of coffee
and to feed the cat

I did all of this and then sat
on the patio for a while.

Then tried to write and...

"Nothing Came to My Mind"

It was a big blank.

I showered and dressed and got into my car
I drove to the store and bought a few things
I went into the Beauty Salon
and had a pedicure
My feet felt great...

I went home, fed the cat, again,
gave her fresh water
got comfortable
and had coffee and cake.

I was sure that this time
I would think of something to write
I was certain
I was positive

But...Nothing Came to My Mind

and it is now the end of the day......
and what do I do?
Anyone have any ideas?

Should I buy a Computer and throw out the Typewriter.;) What do you think?

Writers block comes on to most any writer at one time or another. I felt lucky. It had not happened to me in months. Came today! I have a bad case of writers block. What doctor do I see?

This is a great poem. I'm glad that something came to mind. Those days when writer's block hits are so frustrating.

It can drive you nuts and trying even harder can make the desert even more dry!

That's so frustrating. :-( I don't think you got my last email. We're still having email problems.

Hmmm...wish I could help you, but nothing comes to mind....

Something did come to your mind! Cute poem. I never have writer's block. I have certain things I have to write about that don't always interest me. It's more like writer's boredom.
