Nothing Left

Nancie Norton
Sometimes in Life, we get tired,
Frustrated and all burned out
Those are the times when we forget
What true happiness, is really all about

Life moves so fast these days
Not enough hours for our schedules to fit
It doesn't take us very long
Before we're truely, caught up in it

And hey, don't think you're alone,
There are others just like you
Who run and run, and get caught up
On that crazy Hamster wheel too

No matter how hard we try
To make sure everything is right
It seems most times that our lives
Are always stretched too tight

God never meant for our lives
To get this much out of control
When we concentrate on runnin' the fast Lane
We tend to lose some of our soul

You know there's a way to change that
A way to slow life down
The burnout rate is so much less
When you've got God around

He'll give you all you need
To get your life back on the right track
He'll help you step down off that wheel
He can give you the power to take your life back

So today give a lot of thought
To the life that you've chosen for yourself
Don't let your Fast pace take so much
That for God, there's nothing left.

I just caught up with this one... Nice. Makes me think that when there seems to be nothing left, there is probably nothing right, either.
