This past Saturday showcased a Novaffl (http:www.novaffl.com) Flag Football game for the ages showing what is arguably two of the best teams in Novaffl battling it out in what could be the foreshadowing of a heated playoff or championship game for Season 4.

The Maddawgs, after a brutal two-game day in the stifling sun, moderated this game, but unfortunately video presence was lacking. Accordingly, the Inspector Yang, via Madcap productions created a wild-video, showing some past highlights to honor the Birds of prey (Hawks) 8-0 accomplishment, 4-weeks into the season. As the Maddawgs have taken more than their responsibility of moderating duties this season, the future should provide more Hollywood potential as moderators fill in at their respective duties.

Here is the Hawks Highlights Video:

The last picture of Bwynne, shows the infamous 'CamelToe' a Conquest Lineman as labeled by none other than "San Fran" from Season III. Unfortunately Bwynne was forced to block this behemoth last season, not this year my man, not this year.

Instead, I encourage all recruits to contact the captains seen in this clip if you want a tryout for the "Hawks" ---Minimum attire required.

Onset of Showcase Games, with the Commissioner put it to a vote?

Novaffl, would like to feature "showcase" games, deemed by the Commish (D-12. J.Gentili) as worthy of Novaffl's media attention. As such, both Madcap and the Inspector will take notes, listen and report to the large audiences --- and will hopefully will have scheduled work-arounds so they can be present to video the premiere games. This strategy would have allowed better media coverage for the Gift-Warriors Game.

Lets jump into 19 April 08 Cutters versus Hawks recap, shall we:

Cutters started with the ball first and drove the ball downfield, ending the drive with a long td pass to #16 (Name Unknown). Andy B, showcased some new scrambling abilities (as forecasted by the Pilot) and ran in the 1 point conversion.

Hawks answered right back with a drive of their own, capped by a td catch by #5. However, the conversion was incomplete, so the Cutters held onto a 1 point lead.

The Cutters went three and out on their next possession and were forced to punt. The expert analyst will notice here, that (the Cutters, like the Hawks and God's Gift have so much faith in the defense that they go for it on fourth...) That is of course, unless they are playing one of the First Class teams (See PilotRon's Wednesday Power Rankings at http://www.novaffl.com for more information) On the Hawks possession, rb #9 (Rob Lane) scored on a long catch and run. The pass for the conversion attempt was batted down by Rum, but the Hawks took the lead 12-7 now. Offenses need to watch Rum's running jumps. The amount of batted down passes is surely adding up, and it's a rarity to see such quantities in Novaffl.

Rum also scored a td on the Cutters next possession and #16 added the 1 point conversion, putting the Cutters up 14-12.

The teams - again exchanged punts (something they are both unfamiliar with). As time was running out in the first half the Hawks scored off a td by #27. The conversion was no good and the Hawks lead 18-14 at halftime.

The Hawks started on offense to begin the second half, but Ottskie was sacked by Nick on the first play for a safety. Again here the mod got assailed by the heated contestants, but Ott's hips were clearly on the goal-line and the sack-master, Nick the "Beast" quickly added two points.

Madcap Analysis:

As a shout out to the line, I will say, that it's possible the Hawks have the Best O-Line, in Novaffl with Bwynne, Frat, and C-Low. Bwynne is actually able to contain the "Beast" and C-Low, who was quoted as saying to Bwynne in an earlier game re: Young Guns "We are throwing them around like ragdolls."

Not to mention the Hawks, 3-Man rush is destroying Novaffl Offenses all over-the league. Hopefully, they clue me in on this new player coming up the middle, my memory alludes me.

Old C-Low is showing some cardiovascular skills this year playing both sides of the ball and really was a valuable player when the outspoken Frat sustained a groin pull.

Also, Bwynne mentioned that in his containment of Nick (Five sacks and one safety as opposed to his usual stats of 10 and 2 safeties), that the Jordanian Bull has "outstanding leverage."

End Analysis.

On the Cutters ensuing possession, they turned the ball over on fourth down with an interception by #27. #26 scored a td, putting the Hawks up 24-16, conversion failed.

On the Cutters first play of their next possession, the ball was intercepted and returned for a td by Lane and #4 added the conversion, the Hawks lead 31-16.

The Cutters went three and out and punted. Soon after, #26 scored his second td for the Hawks on their next possession, extending their lead to 37-16, which turned out to be the final score.

The Cutters, with an unrepresentative day of dropped passes and interceptions were unable to score on their last two possessions of the game and the Hawks ran out the clock.
