Novaled Teams with European Car Maker to Bring OLED Lights to Automobiles

Car manufacturers are always looking for ways to cut costs. The creation of technology or enhancement to the way in which certain technology is produced can lead to lower costs. This is why these car manufacturers are always looking at ways to incorporate new technology or use it to replace old technology. Lighting systems in automobiles can be incredibly expensive to make. OLED manufacturer Novaled plans to make it cheaper real soon.

The automobile industry is buzzing over the recent announcement Novaled made about teaming up with a European car maker. The identity of this car maker is still unknown but Novaled says that they will be helping them create an OLED interior and backlighting system for the motor. This is interesting news because OLED lighting is a much cheaper alternative than current lighting systems being used in the majority of automobiles being offered today.

OLED is a flexible lighting that is both low-energy and cheap to make. The process for making the lighting is becoming more efficient and thus has allowed the price for creating OLED to greatly decrease over the past few years. Since automobile manufacturers are constantly looking for ways to become more "green" while saving cost at the same time, this is something that a lot of other manufacturers are going to want a piece of.

The entire process is being kept very secret. However, it was also announced that Novaled and their partner have already gone through the concept stages and are about to enter production with the OLED lighting systems. They are shooting to have the automobiles ready for sale in the next two years. We can only hope that some more information comes out about who their partner is before the big unveiling takes place.

Perhaps the best part of this entire concept is the incorporation of the bright OLED lighting onto the motor. This could make it easier to fill fluids on your motor or for mechanics to work on your motor. OLED lighting is slowly becoming the number one choice when it comes to lighting technology and could very well change how lighting systems are in automobiles forever. For now we will have to settle for it being in just one type of car.
