November 2010 Election: My Take in Verse
Times in turmoil, the people speak:
"We have to have change!"
But whose way should we seek?
"We have to have change!"
But whose way should we seek?
All sides claim that the others will destroy:
"This is the country we need!"
Becomes the battle cry of each ploy.
The hopefuls shout out for our approval:
"Pick me! I'm so much better than him."
Many, however, want only their removal.
The choices we hope this time are quite clear:
Choose the country you want
Then vote the principles to which you adhere.
