November and Thanksgiving Day!

Thanksgiving Poem

Albert Chang
Under the flying turkey,

There appears to be a-lurking,

A plate full of stuffing,

To give that stomach a good rubbing!

So keep your ear and your eyes,

On that white breasted surprise,

Dark meats for others,

Non white-meat eating brothers,

27 ways to cook,

Straight out of the book,

Coffee and pie,

For many tear-filled eyes,

Fraud take a holiday,

From blocked heart nerve bundles,

Child generals must celebrate,

And tear their turkeys asunder.

With a sigh and a crow,

A few notches below,

The right degree of prepration,

For this Thanksgiving celebration.

As we pass once again,

On betraying our friends,

Please take that cranberry,

And bless the tooth fairy.
