The first thing you should do is remember not to get your hair wet. By wetting your hair you are only worsening the problem and adding more oil to your hair. If you have to take a shower make sure you keep your hair pulled back or under a shower cap.
Once your ready to fix your hair grab a bottle of baby powder and apply it to your hair brush. Brush your hair as usually, making sure to get the powder thoroughly through your hair. Baby powder is a good source to help dry up some of the oil in your hair as well as give it a nice smell. It will also give your roots a chance to pop back up giving you a little bit more volume.
Another thing you could try is a no rinse shampoo and conditioner. No-rinse shampoo is very popular in hospitals and with individuals who cannot take showers. You simply wash your hair like you usually do but forgo washing the shampoo out. Once done you can dry your hair as usual and style it.
If you are dealing with a really bad hair day and need a quick style in a hurry you can try using some hair styling products like refreshing sprays. If you have time you can use hot rollers or a curling iron. These tools will takes you from greasy to bouncy. It is actually healthier to go without washing your hair for a day unless you have really oily hair. By doing this you are giving the naturals oils in your hair a chance to work it way through giving you a much healthier and desiring look.
However, not all of us can go with a bad hair day and if you are in a bit of hurry you can always toss a hat on or pull your hair back in a ponytail or braid. Remember, It is normal and beneficial to have oily hair. Oily hair is the cure to dandruff, split ends, and losing your hair.
