When I saw Almond Biscotti as a dessert selection for the NutriSystem program, I was quite skeptical. How good could Almond Biscotti be on a diet program? I mean, it's not even made by Italians, for crying out loud. I thought it was going to be a crunchy, tasteless cookie. Yet, I gave it a try.
Boy, was I wrong about what to expect. First of all, the cookie is quite large, unlike the small biscotti that is usually served with after-dinner coffees. It's about 4 inches long and 1 inch wide, and it tapers off at both ends. It looks like your standard boscotti cookie, like the Stella Doro kind. There are whole almonds throughout the cookie, which was a great surprise to me. The almonds are sweet and toasted, and fit perfectly in the biscottie. Plus, the flavor of the entire biscotti is a delicate almond flavor, and is absolutely delicious.
The Almond Biscotti offered by NutriSystem is the perfect end to a meal, especially the meals offered on the NutriSystem Program. It is sweet, crunchy and satisfying. This cookie is perfect with milk, tea, coffee or any other type of after-dinner drink you choose to consume. There is no aftertaste, like other diet cookies on the market. This cookie is absolutely perfect in every way.
I highly recommend people on the NutriSystem Program to add the Almond Biscotti to their menu as a dessert selection. You most certainly will not be disappointed.
