I just couldn't finish reading the pet section without telling dog owners out there about the dog treats made by Smokehouse. They can be purchased at Petsmart. These convenient yummies come in small or large sized bags and are moderately priced. I have personally tried the Chicken Poppers and the Chicken Chips. We like the Poppers the best, but they were out the last time we went to get them. The reason I love these treats so much is not only does our dog do anything to get one since she adores the taste so much, but they are actually healthy for her! Many dog treats out there contain mostly grain and other fillers that are of no nutritional value to your dog except contributing to their waistline, and often times can illicit allergic reactions. Even some of the ones that contain "real meat" have other artificial ingredients and colors that probably aren't best for a dog's optimal health. The ingredients in the Smokehouse Chicken Poppers are: Chicken Meal, Rice. That's it! So simple, yet so tasty and healthy for your dog. The Chicken Chips list only chicken meal in the ingredients list. These treats are almost as healthy as our dog's kibble, yet they are different so that she feels like she is really getting a "treat." They make great training treats since they are small and relatively easy for the dog to eat quickly. So that is basically it - a simple treat that helps, not hinders, your dogs health and tastes great, too (At least that's what my dog says)!
