Ross Will Start Against Colts

New York Giants cornerback Aaron Ross has dealt with his fair share of injuries, including plantar fasciitis, an injury that kept him off the field during most of the preseason and last week's Carolina Panthers at Giants contest. Ross is feeling better and is ready to go this Sunday night, and the cornerback couldn't be happier about it.

"I practiced every day this week, full practice." Ross explained. "My heel felt fine. There is no more exciting week to play than to play against the Colts. I practiced hard and it didn't bother me. The trainers did a tremendous job in getting me back. I'm all the way in...it's my livelihood, so I'm ready."

Ross has been on the sidelines more than the field in the past twelve months. He's now ready to play some football. "I'm very excited to get out there," Ross stated. "It's something I've been waiting for a whole year now. I didn't get to play much last year, and none at corner. This year will be the first time at corner, and I'm really excited about it."

There have been rumors that Ross was going to be the Giants punt returner in 2010 after the team lost Domenik Hixon to injury. Ross has been wanting that role for awhile now. "Like I said before, it's been something I've been fighting for four years now. That's up to the coaches. Once I get completely healthy, hopefully I can get back there and try and get one."

A 100-percent Aaron Ross is a must in order for the Giants to beat the Colts on Sunday night. You can be sure quarterback Peyton Manning is going to challenge the CB early and often. We should know just how healthy Ross is about ten minutes into the game.
