The 2010 regular season didn't end as the New York Giants had hoped, but there were still plenty of bright spots throughout the year. One of the team's MVPs is being honored by a popular football website.

Pro Football Talk, a website affiliated with NBC Sports, has named New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck as a finalist for the 2010 Alan Page Award. The award is given to the top defensive lineman in the NFL. Julius Peppers of the Chicago Bears, Haloti Ngata of the Baltimore Ravens, Ndamukong Suh of the Detroit Lions, Brett Keisel of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Vince Wilfork of the New England Patriots were also nominated.

While fans can vote for the award on the PFT website, Pro Football Talk "may or may not control" the final outcome. Voting ends on Thursday evening.

Tuck finished the season with twelve sacks (four behind league leader DeMarcus Ware) and 76 total tackles. Most fans and experts see both Tuck and teammate Osi Umenyiora, who also finished the year with twelve sacks, as the team's defensive MVPs.

As of the writing of this piece, Tuck is in last place in fan voting, with only 5.23% of the vote. Ndamukong Suh at 38.13% appears to be running away with the vote. Tuck was phenomenal at times during the 2010 campaign but I wouldn't name him as the league's best defensive lineman. As a New York Giants homer, however, Tuck has my vote.
