NY Giants Head Coach Tom Coughlin Tells Critics to "Kiss His a _ _"
New York Giants fans have often criticized head coach Tom Coughlin, and many wanted to see him exiled after the team didn't make the playoffs despite a ten-win season. Coach Coughlin has what may be an unexpected response for those individuals.
Showtime's Inside the NFL program aired footage of the New York locker room after the team had defeated the Washington Redskins last Sunday. By that time, the Giants had learned they wouldn't be competing in the 2011 postseason. Tom Coughlin, surrounded by his players, gave quite the passionate farewell to the 2010 campaign.
"We did our part. That's all I could ask you to do..." Coughlin told the Giants. "We have a 10-6 season. A ten-win season in the NFL, OK? And they can kiss my a _ _, OK? They can line up and kiss my a _ _. It's not an easy thing to do."
A New York Giants player off camera responded. "Can we quote you on that coach?"
"You can quote me on a lot more than that," Coughlin said. "If there wasn't a priest in here I'd say a few more things."
The New York Giants front office is apparently pleased with Coach Coughlin as it's been widely reported that he will be receiving a contract extension "in the very near future." I'm just fine with that, as I've supported Coach Coughlin since the run to the Super Bowl. A few more outbursts like that, coach, and you'll be competing with Rex Ryan for a spot on the front page of the Post and Daily News.

Post a CommentThe head coach needs to go! Here is one example why. The game with Green Bay out played the first half yet the score was close. The half time should be when they readjust the game plan to counter what GB was doing on the field offensively.....they didn't.....the result they where blown out. Head coach needs to go! This has happened more than once....he does not have the ability to change and implement a consistent winning strategy. Fire him bring on a winner then the fans can expect positive results.
