Throughout the summer, the Giants' front office was confident the team's first and second round picks would be at the first day of training camp. The franchise was right.

According to the New York Giants Communications Office, ESPN and several other sources, the Giants have signed first round pick Jason Pierre-Paul and second round pick Linval Joseph. The ESPN story states that Pierre-Paul will make $20,050,000 over five years ($11,629,807 guaranteed). Joseph agreed to a four-year deal worth $4.2 million ($2.7 million guaranteed).

Sack specialist Pierre-Paul will learn how to play in the NFL behind starting defensive linemen Justin Tuck, Osi Umenyiora and Mathias Kiwanuka. Many football analysts and New York Giants fans believe Joseph will actually see more playing time than Pierre-Paul during the 2010 NFL season. He starts training camp behind Barry Cofield and Chris Canty on the Giants depth chart.

All seven of the Giants 2010 NFL Draft picks are now signed with the team, and are at the team's training camp. Just one less thing for the Giants to worry about in the month of August. As with the 2009 NFL season, the Giants now have to worry about the health of several players on the team. New York enters training camp with a handful of players already banged up. Hopefully, the team can avoid any serious injuries between now and September.
