Giants Sign Pascoe as Insurance for Injured Kevin Boss

The New York Giants are preparing for a Sunday night contest without starting tight end Kevin Boss.

The Giants have confirmed via press release that the team has signed practice squad tight end Bear Pascoe. Pascoe impressed the New York coaching staff throughout the summer, largely due to the fact that no other tight ends on the Giants could remain healthy throughout the month of August. Pascoe played in each of the team's four preseason game, but was released in early September due to standard roster cuts. The Giants signed Pascoe to the team's practice squad less than 24 hours after cutting him, showing just how much they thought of the young tight end.

To create roster space for Pascoe, the Giants released linebacker Bryan Kehl. Kehl was mostly a special teams player while with the team.

Kevin Boss, the team's starting tight end, suffered what is reportedly his third concussion in the past two seasons on Sunday. Boss will have to pass neurological tests in order to be eligible for Sunday night's game against the Colts, and even then the team may decide to leave Boss on the sidelines. While it's still rather early in the week, I'd bet on Boss riding the bench on Sunday night.
