Out of the New York or Pittsburgh areas this weekend and want to watch the Giants vs. Steelers game? You're in luck if you or a local establishment near you has NFL Network.

The NFL has confirmed that the Pittsburgh Steelers at New York Giants preseason game scheduled for Saturday, August 21 will be televised nationally on the NFL Network. The commentary crew for the Steelers-Giants game has not been announced yet. It is not unlikely that New York Giants radio/NFL Network announcer Bob Papa will be a part of the TV crew.

The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Detroit Lions in the team's first preseason game of 2010. Pittsburgh starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger did not play against the Lions, but Steelers' head coach Mike Tomlin has said that Big Ben will play against the Giants this weekend.

The New York Giants started the 2010 preseason with a 31-16 "road" victory against the New York Jets in the first football game every played at the new Meadowlands Stadium. The Steelers-Giants game will be the nation's second look at the Meadowlands Stadium as an NFL stadium.

Not all satellite/cable providers offer NFL Network, but the game can also been seen at any bar or restaurant that carries the NFL Sunday Ticket package.

Just an FYI...you wrote "The Steelers-Giants game will be the nation's (outside of the NYC/NJ area) first look at the Meadowlands Stadium as an NFL stadium."
This is wrong. The Jets - Giants game on MOnday was broadcast on Monday Night Football on ESPN to the nation and whoever can get ESPN.
