The excitement was brewing as the fans walked into Madison's Square Garden to see the New York Knicks play against the Detroit Pistons. The 2009-2010 season has not been such a good one for them but with hopes that they would win, fans piled into the stadium and into the seats awaiting the game to start.

Watching a basketball game is nothing compared to being there while the action is taking place. You are in the stands making noise and rooting on your team. You are there seeing things that you would not see on television. The excitement is intense. The players are right in front of just a few feet away and just being there while the game is being played live is such a great experience.

A choral ensemble tipped off the game with their rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner" followed by a dance routine by the NY Knick Dancers. Everybody was screaming and the lights just reflected positive energy coming from every level and section inside of the stadium.

The Knicks were doing so well, they had the Pistons calling time outs every so often. And with every time out was an entertaining segment that had the crowd screaming and having an awesome time. There were the Knicks Acroback Tumblers doing their amazing flips and cartwheels. Somehow I enjoyed it better from afar than in the middle of a small subway car. It was also nice to see young kids competing int he Kidz Bop Competition for prizes and advancements in their musical careers; very positive to see.

The excitement was brewing because this game was going to be the game that Tracy McGrady was playing with the New York Knicks, And boy, did he do an excellent job. With his twenty-one points with two of those being from beyond the perimeter line, eight assists, and seven rebounds. Harrington put up twenty six points making six out of eight of the perimeter shots attempted. It was a great game.

The Knicks have a history or doing well, then slowing down on their winnings and losing all over again, game after game. Maybe it was in the many, many perimeter shots that players have taken without really driving the ball to the basket. Or maybe it was the lack of positioning properly when ejecting the ball out of their hands aimed for the basket. But lucky for the fans who were there in the stadium, they along with actress Regina King who was also in the audience had the opportunity to see them win.

The Knicks made a come back by snapping a six-game home losing streak when they defeated the Detroit Pistons 128-104. It was a great game with a nice finish. The Knicks were in total control the entire way and made it for the taking. I can definitely see a great future for TMac with the Knicks. Possibly the 2011 champions.

I remember the first game I ever went to at the Garden - it is exciting to be there, in person! Cheers.
