The baseball season is still underway and while fans are waiting patiently for the World Series to begin, the Mets were actively trading players. Carlos Beltran, no. 15 for the New York Mets, has been in the midst of reports that he will be traded to the San Francisco Giants for Zack Wheeler.
Beltran, who is still on the active roster list, has a career average of .282 with a total of 295 home runs throughout his career. The 2011 season has brought Beltran much success with 15 home runs, 66 RBI, OBP of .391, and a average of .289.
While, Wheeler is still making a name for himself as a right-handed pitcher.
According to ESPN when asked how Beltran will fit in with the Giants, Jose Reyes replied "Perfect."
ESPN Buster Olney also reported that that the deal is almost completed. However, according to Cleveland.com Beltran has a no-trade clause in his contract and at the end of the season Beltran has the right to become a free agent, but Scott Boras who is Beltran's agent, has delivered a list of teams Beltran would lift his no-trade clause to join.
