NYC Smooth Minerals Pressed Powder: A Review

I cannot even begin to imagine how much time and money I have spent throughout my teenage and young adult years just trying to find a foundation that did not slip off of my oily skin twenty minutes after first applying it! I searched high and low paying from £2 to £30 for foundation that would just stay on!

It wasn't until my local superdrug started carrying the NYC range of cosmetics that I actually finally found it!

NYC Smooth mineral pressed powder is a foundation powder that is applied with a small brush.

The packaging:

Fairly standard stuff, comes in a little box, and the compact has a clear lid. It even comes with its own little kabuki brush!

The brush:

It is an excellent quality brush, it blends fabulously I used it for a couple of times, but I switched to something bigger purely because it was quicker.

The product:

It goes on evenly, with no caking and gathering into little flecks like many mineral foundations do, it gives an even looking, natural finish in no time at all. It feels soft and velvety when it is on, but it is light as a feather, so you don't get that weighed down, cakey feeling.

It kept my shiny skin at bay all day and it totally resisted slipping off my face!

The range:

They have a good range of colours, they are all natural looking and there isn't an orange one among them, I even found the exact colour to match my weird skin! I am too light too be "olive" but too dark to be "ivory" But NYC has a colour for everybody!

The price:A bargain of a product at £3.99 (depending on your retailer)
