If i remember correctly my husband and I got steaks and my mom got the ribs. Ordering went find our order didn't take too long for being a weekend night. My husband drove about 15 minutes to pick up the order. Once he got back, we all started eating.
My steak was OK and my mashed potatoes were nothing special. After we sat down and started eating my mom went to "fix" her baked potato only to find out the thing was rotten. The potatoes are cut after cooking so I think someone should pay attention. She had also ordered in plain so it shouldn't have been to hard to notice, especially with the disguisting smell. I immediately called the restaurant and complained. They were very apologetic and even compensated us with a $10 gift card. This wasn't even the worst part of our experience.
I check my banking account frequently at least once every two days. One day when I was looking over the statement I noticed that O'Charley's had over charged me. The receipt I had only showed around $40 but the charge was for a little over $50. I thought how could this be. Am I going crazy? I wasn't sure what to think. I immediately sent an email into their main office. I called the Lafayette location first thing the next morning and talked to a manager.
After a couple of days they had managed to locate the ticket for our meal. Can you believe that one of the waitresses added a hefty $12 tip for herself on our buck?!? We even had our food to go. She didn't even earn the tip! The managers at the Lafayette location and the main office were very nice. The main office did call and tell me they had received my complaint. They sent us a $25 gift card which I sold on Ebay ;)
The moral of the story is I will NEVER eat there again and now I check my bank account throughout the day to make sure I'm not being extra for anything. I hope the girl/guy was fired immediately and never works as a waitress again. O'Charley's and it's employees will not be getting any more money from us!
