Eyes Burn from restless night.
Muscles scream in agony.
Grayness touches the ground.
The rain does not refresh but instead dampens the spirit.
People operate in backwards time.
Birds struggle with added gravity.
Trees are still, without sun or breeze.
Nature itself is tired from the weight of the world.
Time struggles forward.
The earth revolves more slowly
The great Sun gasps to maintain control.
Operation as we know it is changing once again.
All this means nothing compared to love,
which today is a sickness I feel inside.
My heart beats deep within my stomach.
Love's not lost but is beaten down on this
O dreary, dreary day.
